The Wizarding Meme

Now we've all seen this before, a Hogwarts AU meme!

⚝RULES:
- Post with your character, the fandom, their house and if you want to, their year (or what their house was when they were a student, etc etc.)
- Character can be a Hogwarts Student, a visiting student for the Triwizard Tournament, or an adult of any sort!
- Roll between 1-14 at RNG, or don't!
- Reply to others.
- Profit.

1 ⚝ CLASS: You may pick the class, but really the class picks you. Passing notes? Eying up the teacher? In class whispering? Spells going wrong? Any thing goes!

2 ⚝ LIBRARY: SSSSHHHH! It's study time, but some just don't see it that way.

3 ⚝ HOGSMEADE: With all that hard work, it's time for a well deserved break. Go for a walk, drop by the Three Broomsticks, get some shopping done, or maybe take a peek into the Shrieking Shack, so long as something doesn't grab you.

4 ⚝ QUIDDITCH: For some people, the Quidditch pit is the place to be. Whether you're practicing, watching a game or just doing homework in the stands, this might just be the place for you.

5 ⚝ FORBIDDEN FOREST: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? IT'S FORBIDDEN. Be careful the spiders don't get you.

6 ⚝ DIAGON ALLEY: Whether near or far, this is where your fellow wizards and witches will gather. Making a day of it or just dropping in to get some chores done? Take a load off, maybe keep an eye out for your friends as they come out of Gringotts or sneak off into Knockturn Alley.

7 ⚝ MEAL TIME: Ah, the Great Hall. A wonderful place to work or play, but then again there's always the Kitchens if you know where to find them.

8 ⚝ YULE BALL: Time to put your best foot forward. That is, until the Weird Sister's start to play. Then, all bets are off. Maybe somebody even spiked the punch when Professor McGonagall wasn't looking.

9 ⚝ SNEAKING AROUND: The Restricted Section? Going to get a midnight snack from the kitchens? Or someplace else? ...Are you sure you should really be in here?

10 ⚝ WANDERING THE GROUNDS: Much like sneaking around, but without the threat of...

11 ⚝ DETENTION: Well, that's what you get for...whatever you did. This isn't going to be fun, you can be sure of that.

12 ⚝ HOGWARTS EXPRESS: Back to wizards and witches, and magical beasts, to goblins and ghosts and to magical feasts! All aboard the Hogwarts Express, want anything from the trolly dear?

13 ⚝ COMMON ROOM: Perhaps you and somebody in your house are just chilling... or maybe- have you been crafty enough to sneak somebody from another house in?

14 ⚝ ACCIO OPTION: Pick your own or make something else up!

[Rydia's standing outside the owl emporium in Diagon Alley, list in hand but not paying attention to it now, since fluffy owls are hard to ignore. No, it's not really necessary, but...she wants one. Figuring she ought to have some time before she's supposed to meet up with her guardian, the young girl darts toward the front door. Maybe she'll find one just right for her.]

[ We're going to assume Connor finally got permission to go to Hogsmeade, and a certain fourth year is super excited about it. As soon as she spots him in the quaint little wizarding village, she's rushing up to greet him, ]

[ Scrubbing cauldrons in the dungeons is legitimately one of the worst detentions Anne has ever been given. One of Read's actually exploded, which got her sent to the hospital wing for emergency fur removal (Essence of bat apparently has a nasty reaction with soap suds, who knew.) Anne shouldn't really envy her, seeing as how she's going to be stuck in a bed getting potions poured down her throat over a Hogsmeade weekend, but at least Mary doesn't have ten more cauldrons to clean before she can head back to the tower. ]

[Connor is something of a special case amongst Hogwarts students, being a foreign student with no family to speak of in the country, save an estranged father who serves as a prominent figure in the Ministry of Magic. Which means, being young as he is, that the Hufflepuff head of house was assigned since first year to keep a close eye on him, and make sure he wasn't struggling in his studies or in getting by in an unfamiliar country. It didn't hurt that Professor Davenport was old friends with his mother, either.

Tonight is another of their monthly meetings, which tend to be nothing if not intimidating affairs with the grumpy old wizard. Tentatively, he pauses outside his office, staring at the door, before knocking twice.]

[Hey Yusuf it's stupid o'clock in the morning and your Italian asshole friend has done the following:

* snuck out of the Gryffindor ladies dorm
* made her way all the way to the Ravenclaw common room
* made it all the way to the Ravanclaw boys dorm

Now? Well now she is looming over you like some sort of demented howler monkey, grinning maniacally in the dark.

Except you're asleep and Yusuf did you know that you snore like the dead only the dead wouldn't snore like that because they'd be killed again for being that loud. Did you charm the area inside your bed curtains?

No matter, she'll helpfully wake you up in the time honoured Auditore tradition of just sort of launching herself from her perch right at the very end of the bed. (And one day - maybe the day she graduates - she'll stop feeling the pang of loss that she can't go home and do this to Federico and that Claudia and her are on such poor terms her sister would never think of doing this.

She tries only to think about collecting feathers for her youngest brother, the one who never made it here.)

So when you open your eyes, brother from another mother, Ezio Auditore da lalala is looming over you with that spark in her eyes that promises absolutely nothing good at all.]

"Argh." A frustrated cry comes from a desk in the common room followed by a thump as an angry first year punches the table. The source of her anger is clear, a spilled ink pot, soaking what was once an essay.

She takes a breath and looks around, looking embarrassed, tucking dark strands of hair behind her ears. "I'm sorry."

[ She hates Potions. She hates Potions so much she might die. The teacher clearly hates her, the ingredients are disgusting, and why would she want to make a Forgetfulness Potion when punching someone does exactly the same thing. And it takes so long. How can she tell if it will work out or not if she has to wait forty minutes before adding eye of newt?

None of this is endearing her to her partner, she's sure, but since her partner is a Slytherin she doesn't see why she should bother to be nice. ]

[ You'd think being raised in a commune by an eccentric elderly wizard would prepare you for Hogwarts, but no. It's the third week of classes and Pym already looks beyond harried by their History of Magic homework, so he does what any sensible kid does. He slides along the bench until he can look at a housemate's work. ]

[Connor is laid on his stomach by the fireplace after dinner, staring at a piece of parchment. He begins a sentence, writes it, then crosses it out. He begins again with different phrasing, but crosses that out again, and eventually mutters a spell to wipe the parchment blank ink and starts over.

For anyone curious enough to peer over his shoulder, he's not doing homework, but composing a letter home written entirely in Kanien'keha.]
