OPEN POST: Yusuke Kitagawa (Fox) - Persona 5

Permanently open post! Come help me voicetest/pose for Yusuke's art/feed this starving boy idk. Or if you need inspiration, roll a prompt from the random scenario meme.
EDIT (FEB 2021): Yusuke is vanilla, Royal, or PQ2 compliant! Let me know what your preferences are if you have any. I haven't played Strikers yet, so please hold off on tagging me with any new characters or spoilers for the time being.

I'm glad you like it. [She'll be one of the only ones, given the critics universally panning it, although Yusuke doesn't know that yet. Then he looks surprised.] You're friends with another artist here? May you tell me who it is?

Her name's Jane Lane. I could show you her gallery.

Please do so.

[She was sure she wasn't walking Jane into some kind of weird downward spiral by inviting over a guy she just met to see something personal to her. Well. If he said anything bad, she will always defend her honor. That was something she was sure about definitely. Eventually, they would find themselves in a corner tucked away with a few paintings and some charcoal pieces on the wall. The themes of them were rather clear. An absurdist view of the bizarre side of humanity. That was always Jane's expression. Something Daria was always proud of and related to her with, though it was writing for the bespectacled cynic.]
She called his her "I Found it in My Portfolio and Decided What the Hell" gallery.
[A pause.]
The title was a joint effort.

[He's obviously trying to puzzle out the deep, artistic meaning behind such a title, instead of just taking it literally. Artists gonna artist. As for her works, he surveys them all in turn with a critical eye.]
Ah, her pieces are not intended to convey beauty, but instead blend the aesthetic with the grotesque. So then... Yes... [He continues to mumble to himself as he goes through her gallery, most of it incomprehensible. Eventually, though, he voices his conclusions to Daria.] Her view of art as a form of expression is quite different from mine, I can see that. But I can also see the undeniable talent and depth of meaning in each work.

[Despite the fact the both of them spoke about that sarcastically with each other. Still though, she watched him look at it over...somewhat intensely curious. Not that another artists opinion would really change how either of the girls felt about the gallery. But so far, Yusuke was the least pretentious dope here. Yes...the girl who finds it hard to completely trust others...thought after one conversation, his opinion might mean more than most in an area.
So when she heard what he said...she was a bit pleased. She's going to hide that for now. Let's see what else he would say.]
She would argue there was beauty in the grotesque, in an ironic way. I'd have to agree. But such is expression.

[Which still doesn't answer whether it's good or bad, but that's Yusuke's analysis of it, either way.]
For myself, art has always been a quest for pure beauty, so I admit it is difficult for me to understand the irony intended here... Though perhaps that is a shortcoming of my own, rather than a shortcoming of the artist. [He's humble enough to admit that much, that he still has much to learn as both a person and an artist. Anything too cynical or too ironic is simply beyond his innocent way of thinking.]

Well, not everyone shares the same world view. Also, not everyone expresses it the same way.

[It's a bit less of a mouthful than 'Morgendorffer-san', thankfully.]
Someone with her unique perspective would surely be worth speaking with.

We're grabbing pizza after the exhibit closes if you're not busy.
no subject
I'm not busy at all! That would be wonderful, thank you.
[Then a thought occurs to him, and his expression falls.] Ah, but I will probably just buy a drink... I don't have any money for a meal.

[A beat.]
That's pizza politics. But really, it's not like we'd be able to finish the damn thing on our own.

[Stepping between two friends and their fierce pizza competition actually sounds kind of scary, but who is he to refuse food?]
Well, if that is the case, I would be glad to assist you both.
