Threads of more than two are welcome and encouraged.

1.  Boarded:  Your ship has been boarded, and as captain you've been captured!  Better hope the other captain gives quarter.  Alternatively, it's a nice warm day for a swim.  That plank was made for walking.

2.  Victory:  You've captured another ship!  You knew those extra cannons would come in handy.  And let's hope they've got lots of swag!  Where's the captain? Are you the decent sort, or are you going to rub their face in it for a bit?

3.  Swab the decks:  You're a cabin boy!  It's a good thing you don't mind doing all the dirty work, right?  Anyway, the captain's calling; better see what they want.

4.  Marooned:  For a bit there you'd thought you were in Davy's Jones' grip, but somehow you've washed ashore with the driftwood.  As you stare dazedly up from the surf, you have questions.  Where are you?  And who's that already on the shore?

5.  Buried Treasure:  Sink me! You've really found the mother lode. . . but you're not the only one.  Who gets to take the treasure back to their ship?  Better make sure it's you.

6.  Rum:  Rum, everywhere.

7.  Swordfight:  It's that person you can't stand!  And they've taken your most valuable possession, that one of a kind thing you just can't live without!  Better get that trinket back before it and your nemesis are gone over the side forever.  Let's hear some swashes buckling.

8.  Mutiny:  The tack is full of maggots and this drinking water may as well have come from the gutter.  There's one person to blame for this, and you're here to make especially sure that they pay for it.  The captain does always seem to take the best treasure before everybody else.

9.  Kidnapping:  Don't they look rather peaceful, innocent even, sleeping so soundly there with their fancy nightclothes and pillows.  Brings a tear to your eye, it does.  Better take them aboard and send for a ransom.

10.  Take a Gamble:  Gotta spend your loot somehow, but it must have been the rum that had you bettin' everything at once!  You've lost to your hornswagglin' shipmate; what did you lose, and what will they make you do now?

11. Under the Sea:  You are now a Mermaid/Merman!  That sailor over there sure looks appealing; let's see if you can lure them in with your charms.  Don't forget that they can't breathe under water!  You do seem to always forget, don't you. . .

12.  Enemy from the Deep:  What was that?  Did you feel that?  An unseen enemy is about to take this ship swiftly to the bottom of the ocean.  Giant squid, enormous whales, sea serpents . . . hope you make it.

13.  The Doldrums:  Can you say cabin fever?  The sails haven't moved in weeks.  You're about seeing if your mates can relieve this awful boredom.  And hopefully find some food and water.  Don't squabble over it, now.

14.  The Brig:  Something you did has gotten you imprisoned in the very depths of this ship.  How long until you see your next meal?  When you see who put you here again, you'll make them pay.  Hold on, maybe there's someone else here too.

Make up your own!  Arrrrr!

[Jack Sparrow is only just twenty five years old when he summons Davy Jones.

It's been quite the ordeal of a day, he has to say. He'd just spent the past fifty three days stuck in the brig of an East India Trading Company ship after releasing numerous slaves on the island of Kerma -- an island Cutler Beckett can not and will never find. Beckett hadn't exactly been pleased to find Jack had liberated his "cargo", and it hadn't taken long before Jack had found himself a prisoner of the man he'd been working under. After nearly two months of being stuck in the same jail cell, he'd finally been released.

...only to be branded a pirate by Cutler Beckett himself.

But Beckett hadn't stopped there. If that had been the worst, Jack could have dealt with it. Because maybe everyone was right, maybe Jack Sparrow made a better pirate than an honest man, and being branded made that decision pretty easy for him. But it wasn't the worst, because Beckett had then set fire to his ship.

Beckett set fire to his ship. The ship he'd been given after being granted the title of captain, the ship that he'd fallen in love with faster than he'd fallen in love with any other woman or salty wench. And now she was on fire because of him. It might have taken four men to hold Jack down while he was being branded, but no one was going to get in his way of saving his beloved ship.

Except he was too late. By the time he'd swam from Beckett's ship to his ship, she was already aflame and there wasn't anything he could do to save her, not by his lonesome. He'd pushed back into the captain's cabin, hoping to save some of his treasure and prizes and trinkets, but the fire had spread and he was trapped, trapped, trapped. It looked like this was going to be the end.

At least, it would if he were anyone other than Jack Sparrow. Being the son of a Pirate Lord -- being the son of Teague -- had some perks, and one of those perks was knowing the incantation to summon Davy Jones. He's heard rumors that the man (squid? squid-man? man-squid? ????) had made deals, negotiations, with other sailors before. And maybe, just maybe, Jack can talk his way out of dying.

At this point, he's desperate enough to try anything.

And so he speaks the incantation, the words that only one of the Brethren Court (only one that a Pirate Lord) would know, despite the fact that he's yet to gain that title. The fire is continuing to burn through the wood of his ship, the brand on his arm is beginning to sear in pain, and he hopes, hopes, this is going to work, that Jones will show up, that he didn't needlessly sacrifice everything for this.

[An imposing figure suddenly materializes upon the deck of the ship.]

[Ah, the scent of desperation... it's as refreshing to him as the salt spray off the sea's waves. He feels it every time he stares into a dying man's eyes and sees him pleading, begging for life... for mercy... HA! There is no mercy in the sea. They all learn eventually. He had found that out long ago for himself and he's been carrying that truth with him ever since, wherever he goes.]

[Even if it weren't for the sense of menace permeating the air around him, it would be apparent right away that this is no human being. He's dressed much like any sailor or pirate, but the similarity ends there. Davy Jones is everything that's terrifying about the open ocean, resembling a creature dredged up from the sea floor rather than a man. The tentacles that cover his face in place of a beard wriggle wildly, and there's an unsettling clacking sound as he snaps his clawed hand closed.]

Who dares summon me?

[Completely unbothered by the burning fire, Davy Jones walks toward Jack, footsteps slow and purposeful. Yes... the air is thick with desperation, he'd almost enjoy the sensation of it if he had any time for pleasure. As it is though... he knows exactly how desperate men think. Some like to believe themselves different than others in life, perhaps they think themselves better... but Davy has seen more than enough to know that they're all the same when death is looming right overhead. Desperate men make for... the very best sort of crew.]

Who has dared summon me?
