[It was Golden Week, and Yusuke had decided to spend it in Ren's company. While he didn't quite turn up on his doorstep unannounced, he did message him only the night before with the intention of visiting -- in other words, he invited himself over more than being invited. Fortunately, Ren accepted, and Ren's parents were obliging, and thus it was that Yusuke managed to strong-arm his way into a week long visit.

He had agreed to meet him outside the station after the train arrived, a small suitcase of worldly possessions and a blank canvas carried under one arm. When he spots his friend, his smile brightens and he makes a beeline over.]

It's truly wonderful to see you again, Ren.

[Unknown to Yusuke, the rest of the old team would arrive a day or two after - after all he wasn't the only one who wanted to see Ren's ass during the break. However, Ren had purposefully delayed them by a few days, saying he needed to have a few things done before they could come. Enough time for him to spend a day (or two) with Yusuke without the rest of his friends being there.

Was it a little unfair to the others? Maybe. But it was something he wanted to do. Morgana had been warned of his plan, waxed on something about sometimes needing the comfort of just one friend and 'good thing it wasn't Ryuji'. Thankfully, he also excused himself to visiting around the city for a day while Ren attended his own matters.

And so, that is how Ren greeted him at the train station, bag in toe, but missing a cat inside as he grins back at him. The crispy, humid sea air would quickly fill the lungs of his friends.]

[Had Yusuke even the slightest consideration for his friends, he might have considered going as a group from the outset. As it was, inexplicably, he wanted to see Ren and Ren alone. Surely the others could make their own plans.
