[Zuko seldom gets to visit anymore. It's to be expected, though. Running a nation is no small task and Iroh often worries about his nephew. Not that he is incapable, but it is a great task placed upon young shoulders.

So having Zuko here in Ba Sing Se for a visit is a special occasion. And special occasions demand special tea. Which is why Iroh is perusing his storage cabinet with great intensity, then opens with a most important question:]

Zuko, have you seen the white jasmine tea?

[Zuko certainly enjoys his visits to Ba Sing Se; even being devoted as he is to the Fire Nation, he'll admit the downtime is much needed. If he's luckier still sometimes his visits coincide with Aang's and the others, but on this particular visit it's just the two of them, which makes for a lot more peace and relaxation.]

The white-- [He looks up from where he's sitting, puzzled.] Uncle, don't you always drink that stuff? It's probably lying around wherever you put it...

Oh yes, yes! [Iroh turns around and there the stuff is. He chuckles quietly and shakes his head.] I'd forgotten that I had it out for you earlier!

But first, I have something new. I want you to tell me what you think.

[He collects one small container and brings it over to Zuko to smell. It's a smoked tea (which is quite tasty!) but it smells.... like campfire.]

What do you think?

[Don't be fooled, Zuko. Uncle might be obsessing about tea, but there is a solid heart-to-heart coming.]

[Zuko leans over to sniff the container, expecting the aroma to be spicy or maybe floral. He doesn't expect the burned, ashy smell instead.]

Ugh! Did you Firebend these tea leaves by accident?

[...He wouldn't put it past Iroh with all the weird experiments he does in inventing teas, but really? This is a little too much.]

[Iroh looks about as horrified as Zuko looks disgusted.]

I would never waste good tea by Firebending the leaves.

These... are smoked.

[Okay so maybe there was a little bending involved in the smoking process...

And then Iroh proceeds to place some of the stinky leaves into the pot to steep. Sneaky guy had no intentions of making the safer jasmine option.]
