[Mash has learned many Singularities ago that it's worth keeping an open mind to every Servant they meet on their travels, even a demonic Servant like Valvatorez. So long as he isn't allied with Solomon and or the Demonic Beasts ravaging this era, surely he can be nothing but a welcome asset to the cause.

[There's definitely some reason he's so against gods in general, but his bond level isn't high enough for that part of his backstory just yet.]

That's true. The last time we met a goddess, we had to battle her into submission. I wonder if things will be the same here...

[And the Lion King had been one of their most difficult enemies to date, so she can only imagine what goddesses from the end of the Age of Gods have in store for them.]

It might have been my imagination, but Ishtar seemed friendlier than I expected, somehow.

[ While King Gilgamesh may not have deigned Mash and Ritsuka worthy of being around just yet, as they toil away and prove their worth to the citizens of Uruk, Merlin has already considered them both high on his list of choice people when it comes to bothering getting to know. And so, one late night, at a time when he's sure that Ritsuka's sleeping thanks to the toil of the day's work, Merlin stops by their bedroom, his white robes in clear contrast to the darkness of the night. Not the sneakiest.

Hey, dreams are nutrition for a half-incubus. Mash wouldn't deny him that, would she...??? ]

[Mash wouldn't deny him it, but Fou certainly would. She'd been close to drifting off to sleep when the furry companion curled up beside her begins to growl and bristle, and so she opens her eyes and looks up. That kind of reaction usually means one thing.]

Oh... Merlin. Is something wrong?

[That has to be the only reason for a creepy late-night visit, right? Right.]

Hm? Oh, no, nothing at all. I was just checking if everyone was sound asleep. You know, like a good big bro—

[ —Fou calls bullshit. Because it always is. "Fou, fouuu!" ]

[She sits up, sleepily rubbing her eyes. Then she picks up Fou to try to make him calm down a little, settling him in her lap before he can pounce on the mage.]

That's very kind of you, but everything is fine. Please try not to disturb Senpai's rest; we have a busy day tomorrow.

[Well, every day is busy in Uruk, but maybe Merlin could use the reminder, given that he's... less busy... than most.]

[ He chuckles softly, and lowers his voice. ]

[ Well, with Fou ruining his plans, he can't quite snack on their dreams like he'd originally intended. Merlin's aware that pretty much everyone is busier than he is, and that's how he likes it. However, he pauses. ]

Hmmm...say, speaking of rest, have you two been sleeping well? No nightmares or anything of the sort?

[ Just curious. He might be able to sustain himself via the human psyche and dreams, but he doesn't want to leave and traipse throughout others' at the moment since he's busy keeping a certain someone under control, in a manner of speaking. ]

[Mash and her Master have just returned from fixing the Camelot singularity, and Roman has just told them that a new name was added to the list of Heroic Spirits that Chaldea can summon -- one who shouldn't be there, but due to his actions in the aforementioned singularity, was accepted by the Throne of Heroes.

The system starts up...and a familiar face is left standing there as the light fades. A face who, the last time that Mash saw him, was fading from existence after returning Excalibur to its rightful owner.]

Saber, Bedivere.

Henceforth, I shall become your Servant. I believe that is also for the honor of my king.

[It's a bittersweet reunion, knowing he won't remember them, but a happy one in its own way. Once Ritsuka has covered the initial introductions between Master and Servant, Mash steps forward and bows respectfully.]
