[After a long day of TV interviews, an offscreen school day, and a self-pity coffee at Leblanc, Akechi returns home with some 7-11 onigiri and cake, another coffee, and more self-pity. Loki may or may not even be there, but it doesn't hurt to try:]

I'm home.

[Loki sometimes spends his days tailing Akechi's pursuits, and sometimes there are days like today when it becomes an unwatchable slog of tedium, where he'd rather busy himself flitting around Tokyo or the Metaverse. He never goes far, however, and he always returns at the end of the day; ultimately, he answers to Akechi, when it's to Akechi he promised to lend his power.

Outside of the Metaverse, Loki tends to forego the elaborate horned helmet, armour and cape of his Persona form, preferring to dress in sharp suits and designer clothes he can conjure effortlessly with those trickster powers. He's watching the news on some latest political scandal when Akechi arrives.]

I'd say "welcome back", but you don't look particularly thrilled to be here. [He looks up, tone dry.] Bad day?

[Akechi is happy to see his best and only and coolest and most fashionable friend! But that is not going to get in the way of his whining.]

A long day. And I still have a good deal of homework to catch up on.

[Though he can't help but smile a little when he sees what's on TV.]

...That one certainly had a twisted Palace, didn't he?

[Loki makes an expression of distaste at the mention of homework -- maybe Akechi could stand to be a little less of a good student around the manifestation of his rebellion -- although that quickly turns to an amused smirk.]

The effort was worthwhile. There's something... poetically ironic, about breaking the Minister of Communications so thoroughly, he's reduced to a gibbering wreck.

[Good grades are important!! But he's setting down his briefcase and coming over with only the food.]

It's a beautiful thing to rip a silver tongue right out of someone's head. I'm sure I could arrange similarly thematic punishments for the rest of them... though I wouldn't want sweet irony to turn into a cheap gimmick. Onigiri?

Thank you. [Reaches over to take the onigiri, eating it primly.]

You're right about the gimmick. Jests oft become stale when repeated... Though I'm sure you'd benefit from more amusement of any form, stale or not.

[He switches off the news, looking over at Akechi. He might be used to his low moods, but he'll still call out moping when he sees it.]

I can't argue. Things have been ramping up lately. Truthfully, even the Metaverse feels like a chore lately.

[It's almost like it's a lot less fun to go after people you didn't pick yourself.]
