Ace Attorney voicetest/call me out post
YOU KNOW THE DEALIO leave a character name in the subject to call them out, and a thread starter/prompt/ideas. I'm a little rusty on Justine, who will need some canon review, and the SoJ characters need some voicetesting, but otherwise I'm good with anything!

actually that sounds hilarious and terrible let's do it]

[ when Ahlbi heard that Athena brought a friend with her Ahlbi instantly jumped in and offered to show him around! Athena came to visit Apollo so it'll give them some time to just hang out by themselves right? So giving Athena's friend a good ol' tour of Khura'in was the best idea!
Ahlbi waits for Blackquill at the front of the Temple with Shah'do. He doesn't know what he should be expecting but it's not that busy so he'll be easy enough to spot him.
Except the last thing Ahlbi is about to expect was someone who looked like he just broke out of jail and it ready to slice someone in half at a moment's notice. The only thing he was told was that he had long black hair and wears black and really he was just told that he wore a lot of black.
Maybe he should have asked for more information. ]

[Is that the sound of a war'baad cry in the distance? And a few minutes later after that chilling call, who should appear but someone dressed all in black, fitting the description. He's brought his trusty hawk with him, and he's apparently immersed deep in conversation with the bird, so much so that he isn't looking out for his tour guide at all.]
... You gave that brightly-coloured fellow quite the fright, Taka. Do try not to pick fights with the local birds, hm? We are visitors here.
[And then he starts petting the war'baad-fighting hawk on his shoulder as if it were as harmless as Shah'do. Maybe Ahlbi should reconsider giving a tour today...]

It sounded a lot different than it should have in any case, and Shah'do didn't seem to like it, either....
But like a faithful guide Ahlbi stays where he is the next few minutes until he sees what might as well be a black figure climb up the stairs. And it's with... a hawk? No one said anything about a hawk.
Shah'do sees the hawk and starts to bark. Ahlbi jumps and tries to calm the puppy down. ]
Shhh, Shah'do! You'll scare it!
[ but what did that man say? that the hawk gave something quite a fright?
........... was that what the war'baad was crying about uh.
THIS IS FINE. he'll still give this guy a tour like he said he would! it's his job! ]
Umm, excuse me!
[ inbetween trying to keep Shah'do calm really. ]

Hmph. Taka would not be scared by the yappings of such a little whelp. Quieten it down, would you?
[On reflection, this does seem to fit the description of the tour guide Wright had recommended. He hadn't expected him to be so young -- but, well, Blackquill does have a tolerance (maybe even a soft spot???) for kids, so he'll let it slide.]

[ Shah'do stops once Taka puffs up his feathers and whines. Okay no more barking that's a bad idea it seems.
Okay let's try to change the subject uhh... ]
Are you Athena's friend?
no subject
No, it is nothing so trivial as friendship. Our lives are bound together.
[How does that explain anything? We just don't know.]
But I am indeed acquainted with Athena. Which makes you my guide for the day, I take it.
no subject
Uhh. Okay. I think that makes sense.
[ no it doesn't ]
Yes, I am! I'm Ahlbi and I'm grateful to be your tour guide through Khura'in! There's so much to show and tell you about this place!!
[ LOOK AT THE EXCITEMENT IN HIS EYES ]

Think of it as more akin to Wright-dono's relationship to you, and perhaps you will understand.
[You know, that whole laying his life down for you thing?? Not the tour guide thing.]
Very well. I am Simon Blackquill, and my companion here is Taka.
[Taka lets out a screech, which might be interpreted as a greeting. Or maybe he's hungry and is disappointed his snack just went into hiding.]
no subject
[ that makes a lot more sense! he thinks anyways?? he may or may not be thinking about the tour guide thing too?? ]
Hap'piraki! I'm sure Shah'do is honored to meet the two of you too.
[ even though he's hiding in the bag right now it's fine. ]
no subject
[He eyes the bag dubiously. And no, he doesn't care how rude he's probably coming across as, especially compared to Khura'inese etiquette. After prison, he has no patience for niceties.]
Let's get on with the tour, shall we?
